Our Safe Shipping Process

  1. All geckos ship free and include a care instruction sheet. They will come with a one-month supply of crested gecko food, a plastic plant, and a set of food and water dishes. To ensure safe arrival, we only ship when temperatures are between 38°F and 88°F. If temperatures fall outside this range, shipping may be delayed to prioritize your gecko’s safety.

  1. We ship crested geckos overnight from Monday to Wednesday, ensuring a safe 24-hour journey to your local FedEx hub with temperature-controlled conditions. We monitor weather at both locations and provide flexible scheduling to ensure your gecko's safe arrival.

  1. Once your order is placed, you’ll receive a detailed confirmation email including a shipping summary, expected delivery date, and a tracking link, allowing you to follow your gecko’s journey to your local FedEx hub. Packages usually arrive at the hub between 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.

We provide a complimentary Gecko Success Kit with each order, designed to give you a strong foundation for your new pet’s care. While enclosures are not included due to shipping limitations, the Success Kit ensures you have nearly everything you need to get started on the right foot.

How will my gecko be shipped?

Your gecko will be shipped using FedEx’s hub-to-hub service, which we’ve found to be the safest method for live animal transportation. Instead of delivery to your doorstep, we ship your gecko to a convenient FedEx hub near you, where it will be safely held for pickup. This process minimizes time in transit and reduces exposure to temperature fluctuations, ensuring your gecko arrives healthy and stress-free. We’ll work closely with you to select the best hub location for a smooth and convenient pickup experience.

Why does the weather affect shipping times?

The health and safety of your gecko is our top priority, so we closely monitor weather conditions to ensure safe travel. Extreme temperatures—too hot or too cold—can pose risks during transport. To prevent any harm to your gecko, we may occasionally delay shipments until conditions are optimal. Typically, shipments occur within 7 to 10 business days of your order, pending favorable weather conditions.

When can I expect my gecko to arrive?

We aim to ship orders within 7 to 10 business days, depending on weather conditions and FedEx scheduling. Once shipped, your gecko will arrive at your designated FedEx hub within 24 hours or less. You’ll receive a tracking number to monitor its journey, and we’ll keep you updated every step of the way to ensure you know exactly when to expect your new pet.

How do we choose the best FedEx hub for pickup?

For the safety of your gecko, we require pickup at a FedEx hub. Be sure to bring a photo ID to the FedEx Hub for pickup. We’ll collaborate with you to determine the most convenient hub location, ensuring a safe and easy pickup experience. If you have specific preferences, please let us know, and we’ll do our best to accommodate them while maintaining the highest standards for your gecko’s safety.
